With us, you will be working on a wide range of problems, ranging from cable installation and offshore lifts to concept development of novel floating structures. You will develop and apply cutting-edge technology to provide the best analysis insights to our clients.

We are now looking for master’s students or recent graduates who are ready to step into the professional world, focusing on digitalization and smart solutions for marine operations and engineering analysis.

We are an employee-owned company with 14 engineers working on projects ranging from floating offshore wind to subsea cables and offshore aquaculture. We are looking for someone who:

• Is about to complete or has recently completed an MSc in hydrodynamics, structural engineering, marine operations, mechanical engineering, or similar fields
• Has an interest in programming and preferably some experience with Python
• Is curious about dynamic analysis and eager to learn tools like OrcaFlex
• Likes problem-solving, both practical and theoretical
• Is solution-oriented, inquisitive, and willing to learn

As a summer intern in KONGSBERG you will work on some of the most technically challenging tasks we handle in our business; 11 000 meters below sea level or 36 000 kilometers into space. KONGSBERG has a significant technology and expertise portfolio that includes solutions for aquaculture and food production, sustainable resource management, climate and environmental research, transport and renewable energy.

We carry out two types of summer internships:

Job in a specific department

Summer Student Programme, working in a multidisciplinary project team.

Throughout the summer internship we promise close supervision from our experienced co-workers whilst working on challenging and innovating tasks and attaining relevant work experience. Our Summer Student Programme is primarily intended for those of you undertaking degrees in science and technology across several of our locations.
